Los Lonely Boys are directly descended from the Tejano tradition of conjunto music that is a trademark of South Texas. The group of three brothers traces their roots to their father, Ringo Garza,Sr., who was with The Falcones, a conjunto group, popular in South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley decades ago.
From San Angelo, Texas come Henry (guitar/vocals), Jojo (bass/vocals), and Ringo Jr.(drums/vocals). Their style of music which they call a "Texican" rock and roll was rocketed to a #1 Hit on Billboard with Heaven in 2004. They have released eleven albums with latest, Christmas Spirit, due to be out soon.
They were the headline act at the Bay Stage on Day 2 of the South Padre Island Music Fest 2008. Appropriately, they were preceded by Alejandro Escovedo who praised them. Their intensity was felt by the packed crowd who listened to them on a beautiful cool clear night with a crescent moon.
